Strangers on the train

Due to many travels by train I like to use the time I have wisely. One of the best ways to keep myself entertained was to draw strangers on the train without them noticing. It was a challange, because normally people notice when you stare at them for a long time, so I learned to grasp faces in a really quick time. It was a good training for face-studies and how to transform a rough sketch into a finished work when I arrive at home. This gallery contains sketches and also collage works. I like to use materials which otherwise would have landed in the trash and repurpose them in collages for texture and character. Even though some passengers have noticed my stares, noone approached me or asked if i was drawing them. After all, most people just want to mind their own bussines and arrive at their destiny as fast as possible.
